  • Streamline Your Business—Another problem for many businesses is that they try to do too much.  Let’s face it:  you are an expert when it comes to your goods or service.  So stick to that facet of your business and consider outsourcing other areas to experts in those fields.  Outside call centers can handle your order taking and customer service process with more finesse and expertise, allowing you to do what you do best.  In addition, other areas such as accounting can also be easily outsourced to leave you with the time and capital to focus on growing your business.
  • Work on Name Recognition—When a potential customer is left wondering about which business to give his or her hard-earned money to, many times it isn’t about deals or reviews or best prices.  Often times it comes down to one simple concept:  name recognition.  Customers are more likely to work with a business whose name they recognize because they associate this business with quality work.  The mentality is, if the business is well-known, obviously they have been around for a while which means they must be doing something right.  However, unknown brands are often thought of as cheap knock-offs and fly-by night companies that will be here today and gone tomorrow.  That is why it is so important to work on establishing a brand and getting it out there in the community.  Many times, this may take place on a small scale such as working with charity groups in a community to get your name out there.  Other times, social media such as Twitter and Facebook can be used to your advantage to create a name-recognition.
